September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month🎗️
According to the CDC, Su***de is the second-leading cause of death among young people, and, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, was the tenth-leading cause of death in the nation. Every year in the U.S., more people die by su***de than in car accidents, and more su***de deaths occur than homicide and AIDS deaths combined.
Death by su***de not only affects the person who died, but also others - “su***de survivors” - who cared deeply about the person. While there is no easy way to grieve, it is often helpful to understand what you might experience as well have access to resource information.
