“Shelter in SP-404 is the title of the series of beats on this tape. As we settled in to the pandemic with our quaranteams, I decided to use the confines of April 2020, my partner’s record collection and later in the mix, her kitchen to explore the beloved sampler I always wished I had teenage time with. These samples span from barefoot economics to love.

In the first week of March, Nashville suffered a devastating tornado and since, I have been giving to Gideon’s Army, a local nonprofit seeing to the health, wealth and justice of Nashville‘s Black Community. And since we have seen that the true storm of Americain’t is our Apartheid statuses, I have been supporting the Nashville Bail Fund in releasing those who would risk tangling themselves with the police state to move justice and equity just one step forward. Please join me and Money Tapes in the ventures. Enjoy.”

MT 01: Ed B - Minute Dubs. This tape was made at home in Chicago from 2017-2020 whenever the kids were occupied or asleep. It’s a mix of short dub-related music, made quickly with a variety of cheap instruments. Back when people could come over, they would, and we made a couple together. There’s also a lot of samples from homies across the US on this. Best played loudly in an automobile. Available for the month of August 2020 only, all proceeds go to LINK IN COMMENTS.
