Our Co-op Summer Interns have had an eventful week! They learned about Reclaiming North Lawndale (RNL), toured one of the newly built homes, and gained valuable insight into community organizing with Gabriel Townsell. We’re excited to see them continue learning, growing, and making connections throughout the summer! 🌟🏡

Co-op’s annual Summer Kick Back Community Celebration will be happening August 1st,2026.

Congratulations to our co-op member, Fonadren Oliver, on graduating from the 548 Foundation training program today! Fonadren has been a joy to have as part of our co-op, consistently bringing a positive attitude, dedication, and eagerness to learn. We are proud of her accomplishment and excited for her to put her newly acquired skills to work with S.O.N.L. Construction!t

Last night was amazing! SONL Construction members had the opportunity to connect with Lifting Lawndale members, build relationships, and participate in team-building activities together. They also shared their vision for the co-op and discussed what inspired them to join the movement.

During last evening’s co-op class, the group focused on company branding and identity when launching a cooperative business.

The discussion highlighted that branding is far more than a logo or color palette. It represents the co-op’s values, mission, and purpose. For a cooperative, identity must clearly reflect community ownership, shared leadership, and service.
