We are doing a GROUP CLEANUP tomorrow, August 8th, at 12:00 noon. We are meeting at Fulton River Park in West Loop (address is 353 N Des Plaines St, Chicago, IL 60661) and will be cleaning the park and streets surrounding it. There is a ton of trash to be cleaned in this area and we will need all the help we can get! Please RSVP if you are coming to help tomorrow 🙂 We appreciate your help and are excited to make Chicago a greener place!

This morning we went about a block down Kinzie and collected about 3 bags-worth of litter scattered around the street. It was shocking how much we were able to collect among such small areas. It just goes to show that each and every one of us can make a difference towards a cleaner city! ♻️

Making a difference, one bag at a time!

Hey everyone! We have a slight change in plans. Instead of getting a group together in person for the first cleanup this weekend, we are going to postpone that event to next weekend (4/24) - More info to come on that.

For this weekend, we encourage everyone to go out on Saturday morning (or whenever you have time) and pick up trash around your home. When you do that, be sure to take a picture and post it in this group and on other forms of social media while tagging the page (our Instagram handle is ). The idea is that this will help to spread awareness about the cause while also spreading out our cleaning. The trash and litter problem isn’t limited just to any one neighborhood, and starting off our clean up this way will help us cover more ground and get people involved.

We are looking forward to getting people together soon. In the meantime, there is no reason to wait any longer to start the cleanup effort.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please speak up! Our goal is for this to be a collaborative group where anybody can feel empowered to take initiative.

Hi everyone, this is Alyssa! Jacob had the wonderful idea of organizing a group to help clean up trash around the city - so we made it happen! Ally created this page and now we are going to use it as a place to organize clean-up events in Chicago for anyone that would like to join in. We have all noticed how much garbage there is in our city. If everyone comes together, our small actions can make a huge difference. More info to come 😊
