‘The world is a lesser place today without her.’ Acclaimed author bell hooks dies at 69. Obituary: bell hooks, a Hopkinsville native who went on to an international career as an author, critic, feminist and public intellectual, died on Dec. 15 at her home in Berea. She was 69.

We announced back at our first Annual ARC in the Park festival that we were preparing a beta for our website/membership database and we're happy to update you all that we are in the final stages for testing and come next year our website will be up and running for everyone to use! It's been a very challenging process to make sure everything runs smoothly but we apprciate everyone's patience and continued support for ARC :)

The next time you are exhausting yourself trying to be accepted, approved of or understood, please pause. Ask yourself if there is a part of you that needs some rest-some downtime where there’s room to think about what you need most on a daily basis to feel important.
Trauma has a way of separating us from core rights. One of those rights is to offer what we are comfortable with and say no to the rest. If this resonates for you, I hope you find a way to show due respect to what you’ve overcome and what that cost you. And I hope that leads you to more clarity of what you feel you owe others.
