Needed a last minute costume and pulled this Hunting Wives inspired look together from stuff in my closet. Maybe that’s why I felt real comfortable in this “costume” 🤔 Might need to add a version of this look to my regular rotation. You can take the girl out of Texas but…. Also might keep the accent for a while. Bless your hearts and have a safe Halloween weekend 😘

And yes this was a collaborative effort😍 Miles wanted an all black tux. Couldn’t argue with that classic choice but I encouraged him to lean into bold accessories to add more personality - I was very much inspired by this year’s met gala theme🤩 Statement loafers, his gold chain, a blingy brooch, vintage cufflinks and his Papa’s watch and ring make the look anything but basic💫

It’s still frigid out so I’m not ready to start shopping for swim suits, but I’ll take all the transitional jackets please and thank you🤩 And yes I’ll be wearing them under a huge coat until March 💁🏽‍♀️

Want a quick way to make your outfit look cooler? Throw on some patterned tights. Fishnet, lace or sheer with a simple design like the ones I have on here are easy swaps for the plain black tights we’re all used to. Or try a pair in the season’s ‘it’ color, burgundy. Animal print and plaid or other trending patterns to try.

Wear them with shorts, skirts, dresses or even cropped pants and jeans to add a little everyday extra to your look🤩

One of my favorite color combos 🩷🧡

I love wearing bright colors. It gives me a dopamine hit and I feel like it makes people around me a little happier too😄 You don’t have to wear color head to toe like I did to get the effect. You can pair a bright top with jeans or a colorful pair of pants with a white tee. Or add a pop of color with a bold bag or shoe.

Clothing and accessories can make us feel all kinds of ways - happy, creative, serious, powerful, glamorous, etc. When we get dressed, it’s as important to think about how we want to feel as how we want to look. The two are always connected💫
