There’s a very kind elderly man at my workplace whom I deeply appreciate. As he nears the end of his life, I decided to visit him one day, even though I wasn’t scheduled for his household. I went with a nurse I admire, and when we arrived, she asked, “Does he even recognize you?”

Without hesitation, he replied, “Can you sing me a song🥹?” Yes in the past, I sang an opera song for him.

I was amazed that he still remembered me. Honoring his request, I asked which song he wanted to hear, and he said, “My Way.”

I wasn’t familiar with it at the time, so I promised to learn it and come back. I haven’t had the chance to sing it for him yet, but tomorrow, I will.

I pray he holds on long enough for me to fulfill my promise.
