EDGEWATER RESIDENTS: We spent the morning on N. Broadway to let people know that your neighborhood is home to an unregulated anti-abortion crisis pregnancy center (CPC).

⚠️ CPCs may look like clinics, but they are unregulated nonprofits with one purpose: to target pregnant people considering abortion and convince them not to have one. Most CPCs are not held to the medical standards that real clinics are, and they are not bound by HIPAA--which means any information you share with them is not protected by law. This is NOT healthcare: Proceed with caution!

WHAT YOU CAN DO: If you live in Edgewater, or any community with one of these CPCs, be sure to talk about it with your friends. Awareness is the first (and easiest) step that can prevent harm.

🚨 CHICAGOANS BEWARE: A new anti-abortion crisis pregnancy center (CPC) recently opened in Chicago's Austin neighborhood on the West Side. This means our city now has nine of these anti-abortion CPCs (or "fake clinics"), and we anticipate two more will open soon in Calumet Heights and Chicago Lawn.

It was an honor to participate in the 2nd Annual Youth Reproductive Justice Summit at Francis W. Parker School alongside allies from Chicago Abortion Fund, Planned Parenthood Illinois Action, and more!
