Yesterday was an absolute blast. Our get out the vote rally was a huge success and my heart is filled from the incredible amount of support this community has shown our campaign and we aren't done yet!
We've got only a couple more days to turn out our base. WE NEED YOU. Below is a sign up to help us poll pass on election day, which is our biggest need but also we need people to spread the word in their own networks! If you need palm cards or buttons or yard signs we can arrange getting all those things to you as well. It's gonna take all of us so let's win this thing!

It's not just about money. It's also about where it comes from!

When we compare the itemized contributions list for the latest FEC filings we find that that vast majority of our contributions come from inside the district itself. This shows what we've known since the beginning of this race: we have the clearest base of support in the District.
Dollars don't vote. Endorsements don't vote. People vote.

From day one I have prided myself on building a people-centric campaign, one that was led from the grassroots, not the grasstops. That means it was people who had the power, not organizations, not power brokers, and definitely not big money. We don't have the big endorsements of other campaigns, we don't have the big money of other campaigns, but I don't pride myself on that. I pride myself in the fact that our base of support consistently shows up for us without having to be paid, without having to be told.

We've had hundreds of volunteers spend their days knocking doors, writing postcards, delivering yard signs, etc because we knew it was the PEOPLE at the center of the movement, not dollars. We've watched campaigns with big endorsements and with big donors run and lose before. We've seen it and we know it because we've been that campaign.

In those losses we learned important lessons. The money will be spent, the endorsements will come and go but will the people still be with you when the dust settles?

That is why we are built different. That is why we have the tenacity to come back and fight again. Endorsements don't vote. Money doesn't vote. PEOPLE vote and so long as I have the people in my corner I know we cannot be defeated.
