Big Update - I’m temporarily moving to London!

Starting in July, we will be abroad for the next two years due to my husband’s job. What does this mean for Afton Events? We are wrapping up some weddings this year, and then we’ll be on a bit of a hiatus. I plan to continue posting on here as I have so much that I have yet to share. However, we will not be booking new weddings at this time.

I have spent the last 6 wedding seasons devoting my time and energy to my amazing couples. I am grateful to them, their families, and their friends for letting me be a part of so many special and unforgettable memories. I am honored to have worked with the most incredible venues and vendors in my favorite city in the world. I owe so much to my lovely team - I couldn’t have done any of this without them. This business changed my life. It gave me so much. It has been so unbelievably rewarding.

But now, it’s time to use this opportunity to focus my time and energy on my family. After losing my son this past year, I am due for some healing time off.

I will keep you posted on any and all updates I have regarding resuming business. Chicago, this isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you later!
