I love when a couple comes to me with an idea they’re excited about, especially when they aren’t quite sure how to make it happen.
You don’t need to have all of those answers. Bring me what you’re thinking, and we can talk through what it would take to make it work for your wedding.
That conversation is one of my favorite parts of the process. 🤍

Give me 32,000 square feet and a good room flip, and I’m very happy.
Morgan Manufacturing is one of those venues where the possibilities immediately start running through my head. The industrial architecture gives the space so much character, while its size and flexibility leave plenty of room to create an experience that feels entirely different from one wedding to the next.
I absolutely love how we set the ceremony in the large room and then send guests to cocktail hour while we completely transform the room for the reception.
When they return, they’re walking back into the same space, but it shouldn’t feel like the same room.
A transformation of that scale requires an incredibly skilled vendor team and a very well-orchestrated plan behind the scenes. When everyone knows exactly what needs to happen in that window of time, the result is one of my favorite things to watch: guests walking back in and realizing just how much has changed.
Morgan Manufacturing gives us the space to think big. And I’m always happy to take advantage of it.

There are times when sticking to the plan matters, and there are times when reading the room matters more.
No matter how much we prepare, a wedding day has a rhythm of its own, and as an experienced professional, I welcome and embrace that.
There are moments that need to move forward and others that are better left alone. Being able to recognize the difference is part instinct and part experience.
The timeline is there to guide us. It should never keep us from recognizing when something wonderful is already happening.

Trust is one of the greatest compliments a client can give me.
There are so many decisions that go into planning a wedding, and my hope is always that my clients reach a point where they know that if something unexpected happens, they don’t have to carry it alone.
Being trusted to step in, work alongside an incredible vendor team, and find a solution before it ever becomes something my clients need to worry about is a responsibility I don’t take lightly.
I’m incredibly grateful for these words and for the trust this family placed in me throughout the entire process. It was such a privilege to be part of their celebration. 🤍

Simple and easy are not the same thing.
Some of the most understated weddings require an incredible amount of thought, coordination, and precision behind the scenes.
There can be a misconception that a simpler aesthetic means fewer decisions, less labor, or a smaller investment. In my experience, that isn’t always the case. Creating something that feels refined and effortless often means being even more intentional about every choice, because there is nowhere for the details to hide.
What looks simple to a guest may be the result of months of careful planning.
And that’s exactly the point. The work should happen behind the scenes so the experience never feels like work at all.

One of my favorite things about a wedding day is watching it become everything we’ve spent months, and sometimes a year or more, envisioning.
There is something so rewarding about seeing the day progress from the anticipation of the ceremony to a room full of family and friends celebrating together later that night.
So much has happened behind the scenes to get to that point. There have been countless conversations, decisions, and moving pieces, all working toward creating the experience the couple imagined.
And then there is that moment when I look around and see everyone simply enjoying it.
That’s when I know all of the work was worth it.

You can tell a lot about a couple by the people they choose to have beside them.
One of the privileges of being a planner is getting a close-up view of the relationships that matter most to my couples.
By the time the wedding day arrives, I’ve also gotten to know the people closest to them. Then I get to watch those relationships take on a different role that day. They’re offering reassurance when emotions are high, making each other laugh when it’s needed, and finding small ways to make sure the couple is actually enjoying the moment.
Those interactions aren’t something we put on a timeline. They’re simply the result of having people around you who know you well and want you to have the best day possible.
And I always notice them.

Good planning isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about asking the right questions.
Some of the most important conversations happen before a single vendor is booked. They’re the conversations that help uncover your priorities, clarify expectations, and shape every decision that follows.
When those questions happen early, the rest of the planning process becomes much more intentional.

A successful room flip isn’t just about changing a space. It’s about creating another memorable moment within the celebration.
One of my favorite parts of the day is watching guests walk back into the room and realize they’re seeing it in an entirely new way. The same space that hosted the ceremony now feels transformed for the evening ahead.
Those moments are the result of thoughtful planning, collaboration, and a team working together behind the scenes to create an experience that feels seamless from beginning to end.
It’s always worth the wait.

Chicago has a way of shaping how a wedding feels.
It’s a city with its own rhythm, and that tends to carry through into the way a celebration comes together.
When couples choose to get married here, there’s an understanding that the setting is part of the experience. The architecture, the scale of the spaces, and the energy of the city all influence how the day unfolds.
I always encourage my clients to work with that rather than around it. When the design and the setting are aligned, the result feels more grounded and more reflective of where you are.
That’s what makes weddings in Chicago feel distinct.
