Cubbington 2 the Rescue

Cubbington, our larger-than-life Brand AmbassaDog, recently went into respiratory failure and spent several days in the ICU. It was uncertain if he would survive. With one lung lobe already removed years ago during a dangerous bout of Blastomycosis, we learned this recent episode was severe aspiration pneumonia with complications.

We’re relieved to say our gentle giant pulled through! He’s recovering at home and breathing easier. Many who reached out with concern and love for Cubby suggested a GoFundMe to help offset more than $8,000 in medical expenses for his ICU stay and follow-up testing and care.

Help The Anti-Cruelty Society by donating much-needed pet supplies at through Jan. 15!

High-need items include:
• Kongs and “string cheese” treats to fill them (e.g., bacon & cheese, liver, and pepperoni recipes)
• Freeze-dried protein treats (e.g., liver, chicken, beef, salmon, duck, lamb, cheese, etc.)
• Training treats like soft and chewy treats, jerky treats, etc.
• Dog bully sticks, bones, natural chews, pig ears, and antlers
• Catnip
• Cat treats like Temptations and Friskies Party Mix
• Pet puzzles and toys, incl. tennis balls, squeaky toys, etc. (no rope toys for now, please)
• Unopened dog, puppy, cat, and kitten food
• High-quality canned cat food (to help picky eaters)
• Blankets (esp. fleece)
• Large towels

Have items to donate that aren’t listed above? Bring them in, and we’ll distribute what The Anti-Cruelty Society can't use to local pantries in need.
