Most people have been taught—explicitly or implicitly—that leadership equals position + title + authority.

So the logic becomes:
If I don’t have the title, I’m not the leader.
If I’m not “the leader,” I’m not accountable at the same level. If something fails, it’s on the person with the title. That THINKING IS FLAWED!!!!!!. Not everyone desires a title. Not everyone wants to be the head leader. But many people have never been taught that they are still leaders while they follow.

A FOLLOWING LEADER is still a leader— with responsibility, accountability, and influence over what they’ve been entrusted with.
