Twenty years to the day after Rob’s accident, he and his sister, Margie Heitz, braved the waves of Lake Michigan to celebrate two decades of life and an amazing recovery from diving into that very same lake. From where they swam, you can see the hospital room window Rob looked out of as he laid in bed wishing to get his life back… and HE DID!
We are incredibly grateful for the family, friends, and PRF supporters who also braved the windy conditions to cheer Rob and Margie on. Also “thank you” to NBC Chicago for covering the swim and featuring us TWICE on their evening newscasts.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of support by the Chicago community over the past few days. This interview with Regina Waldroup on NBC Chicago was especially important to us due to her personal connection to our cause. She has been a huge supporter of PRF and we cannot thank her enough for helping us reach such a large audience with this wonderful piece.
