🎓 Congratulations to the graduates of the Dads Making a Difference Essential Systems Technician program!
This week, we had the privilege of celebrating participants who successfully completed the Essential Systems Technician training program—an opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience and foundational skills in HVAC, electrical systems, safety, and facility operations.
As a Year 7 recipient of the Metallica Scholars Initiative, funded through the Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation, Laramie County Community College has been able to expand access to workforce training opportunities that connect local learners with in-demand careers. Through hands-on instruction provided by Advanced Comfort Solutions, Inc., participants gained practical experience, industry knowledge, and valuable skills that can lead to meaningful careers in the skilled trades.
Programs like this demonstrate the power of partnership. By bringing together education, industry, and community organizations, we're helping individuals build skills, create opportunities, and take the next step toward a stronger future for themselves and their families.

🛠 Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate an exciting milestone for the first graduating cohort of the Laramie County School District 1 Trades Academy as students shared their next steps toward careers in the skilled trades and higher education programs.
This celebration recognized over 30 graduating seniors as they prepare to enter local trade careers and continue building their futures.
A special thank you to Meta, whose generous support provided each Trades Academy student with their very first pair of work boots to help launch their next chapter. Moments like these are powerful reminders of what can happen when industry and education come together to invest in students.
Laramie County Community College is especially proud that, through funding provided by the Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation as a Year 7 recipient of the Metallica Scholars Initiative, we were able to help support workforce pathways and training opportunities for local students. Through strong partnerships and hands-on training facilitated by Advanced Comfort Solutions, Inc., students gained valuable real-world experiences and exposure to careers in the skilled trades.
This is what workforce development looks like — education, industry, and community coming together to invest in the next generation.
Thank you to BomgaarsSupply Store 183 for hosting yesterday’s celebration and helping us recognize these students and their next steps.
Congratulations to these students. We can’t wait to see where your journey leads next. 👏
