Cheyenne Rifle and Pistol Club - CRPC

CRPC MEMBERS: A lot was accomplished at the outdoor range maintenance event today! Berm 1 got leveled and grass stripped away plus a concrete table added, Berm 2 got repaired and repainted steel targets, Berm 3 got new plywood, and the .22 LR Plinking Range got a new 60-yard set of targets, as well as all the targets got repainted. It was a very productive day!

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: CRPC is offering the NRA class "Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home" Saturday July 18 (CRPC Indoor Range) and Sunday July 19 (CRPC Outdoor Range). See the overview in the attached image.

CRPC MEMBERS: Message from the President -- At the last Board meeting we decided to CLOSE THE SILHOUETTE RANGE until further notice.

Currently, the backstop has been determined to be inadequate and deemed a safety hazard. We will rebuild the backstop this summer as well as perform other construction activities on that range. It should reopen for our fall shooting events.

CRPC MEMBERS: This is a reminder that the full rules for the indoor and outdoor shooting ranges, with things like outdoor berm-specific rules and the calibers allowed at the indoor range, can be found on the new web site:

CRPC MEMBERS: From the club president -- We continue to have members violate some of our range rules, particularly, at the outdoor range.

One reoccurring violation is rifles being shot at Berm 2 and overly powered handguns/rifles being shot at steel targets that cannot handle the velocity throughout the entire range.

NO RIFLES CAN BE SHOT ON BERM 2. This is a PISTOL RANGE only. I know we like to shoot at the steel with our ARs - I get it. Shotguns are forbidden also. We have plans in the very near future to put some AR steel in Berm 1. Replacing steel is very expensive. So, lets follow the rules so that we don't have to raise member dues to cover costs.
