I am permanently restless and prone to move frequently. After living in PHX for a couple years I knew I needed more time in nature, more ocean, more lakes, more forests. I also wanted to spend more time in some of my favorite cities like my birthplace (San Francisco) and my favorite quirky southern gem (Savannah, GA). I narrowed my choices down to a dozen places but still couldn't decide where to

Yesterday I was working remotely from a Starbucks I frequent when I'm in town. I'd been there all day, since about 6am, when a partner walked over to my table and slipped me this note folded in half. When I read it and looked up, there were 3 or 4 of them behind the counter smiling at me. There is no way I was able to contain the joy I felt in that moment.
You know, it's been a tough 6 weeks for me. I lost my Father in September and I've been struggling with it. There is no pain comparable to losing a beloved parent. So this, this meant more to me than they could ever have imagine. And I love them for it.

Guess what I did? I even had some 'lucky duck' timing! As I was getting up to leave, a person approached and was clearly also looking for the bench. They lit up when they recognized it. I grinned and said, "Good Omens?" They smiled brightly and confirmed. I didn't stay and interrupt their time, but as I walked away, I had a giant smile on my face. I love Good Omens humans.
