Service dog in training Colter and Guide dog in training Skout checked out all the 4th of July decorations while at Hobby Lobby. They did a good job of demonstrating appropriate manners while in the store, receiving several compliments from other customers.

🐾 A simple bag of dog food can make a life-changing difference. 🐾
Every service dog in our program starts their journey with the basics—food, care, training, and lots of love. While our dogs go on to provide independence, confidence, and companionship to their future partners, none of that is possible without the support of our community.
One of the easiest ways to help is by donating a bag of dog food through our friends at Cheyenne Dog Food Company. Your donation helps ensure our future service dogs stay healthy, strong, and ready to learn the skills that will one day change someone's life.
When you donate, you're not just filling a food bowl. You're helping fuel a dream, support a partnership, and invest in a future filled with greater independence.
From the bottom of our hearts—and from every wagging tail—thank you for believing in our mission and helping us care for the dogs who care for others. ❤️🐕🦺

Congrats to K9s 4 Mobility Assistance Dog Team #64, Chris and Richard! Richard turned two on June 8th, celebrating with doggie cupcakes and a round of happy birthday singing. He came from the Service Dog Connection and was raised by K9s 4 Mobility trainer Justine Woerner, with sponsorship from our Texas Legacy Donor. Chris and his wife are overjoyed to have Richard in their lives, already enjoying the many benefits he brings. With Richard’s help providing stability and retrieving dropped items, Chris can now go to many more places with ease.

Puppy-in-training Kyle is back in Wyoming after his Colorado puppy raiser had to step away due to personal matters. We hope to place another puppy with her in the future. Our newest puppy raisers, Amy—who was our kennel assistant last year—and her husband Ty, along with their dog Copper, welcomed Kyle at just the right time. After losing their older dog, Copper was feeling a bit down, so they were ready to open their home and hearts to the fluffy, playful pup. Copper has taken it upon himself to watch over Kyle, offering toys and companionship, while Amy works from home with Kyle happily settled under her desk. A big thanks to Ty and Amy for stepping up to raise a future hero!
Service dog Richard and his partner Chris have successfully passed their Assistance Dog International public access test and are ready to be out on their own. They are able to complete skills at home and in public such as retrieving, tugging, providing stability and bracing to help Chris get up /down from a seated position in a chair or on the floor. They are able to go into public while exibiting good manners and advocating for their needs. After two weeks of learning to work together, these two have become a great team!
Service dog Richard and his partner Chris continue working on all the requirements for the Assistance Dogs International public access test. They demonstrate how to unload from a vechicle safely while in a parking lot and ignoring dropped food while out to eat in their community.
Service dog Richard and his partner Chris diligently practice all the essential skills for the Assistance Dogs International public access test. This includes staying with recall, performing various skill tasks like retrieving, and a down position while people pass by. All of this training takes place in a bustling public setting.

Service dogs in training Colgate & Colter gave us a cute blooper when they were sleeping in the back of trainer Vanessa's truck after attending Kyle Reiman's celebration of life.
Service dog Richard and his partner Chris love spending peaceful moments together. Service dogs perform important tasks that help people gain greater independence, but they also offer unconditional love and companionship. They’re always there whenever their person needs them.
