You mean it's not from temperature? 🌞

Horses shed primarily in response to photoperiod. As daylight increases, light signals through the eye influence melatonin release from the pineal gland. That shift changes signaling through the hypothalamus and pituitary, which gradually tells the hair follicles to transition from winter coat to summer coat.

What's your favorite shedding tool? I have several I won't let anyone touch 😜
