Howlin’ Highlights from Coyote Ridge!

Our 6th graders have been on fire this month with hands-on learning, creative thinking, and cross-curricular connections across math, ELA, and social studies!

Math – Base 10 Mastery
Students have been tackling fractional and decimal computations, collaborating on group whiteboards, and taking ownership of their learning as they build confidence with key math concepts.

ELA – Archetypes & The Hero’s Journey
In ELA, students are refining their grammar, punctuation, and writing skills while delving into mythology. Using evidence from Ramayana: Divine Loophole and The Odyssey, they’re exploring archetypes and the stages of a monomyth. Now they are gearing up to write epic hero journeys of their own!

Social Studies – Ancient Greece
Students are exploring the world of Ancient Greece. From government and architecture to literature and more! All while making meaningful connections to their ELA work with The Odyssey.

Bring the kids to Cheyenne Gymnastics for our Winter Break Jump & Play on December 30th! 🎉🤸‍♂️

We’re opening the gym for a day of play, music, trampolines, foam pit fun, inflatables, and more—the perfect way to burn off that holiday energy!

✨ Ages 18 months & up — Open to the public!
💲 $10 per child

⏰ Session Times:
👶 18 months–5 years: 10:00–11:30 AM
🧒 6 years & up: 1:00–2:30 PM

Parents must stay and assist during the younger session. No preregistration needed—just show up ready for fun! A parent/guardian will need to sign a waiver before participation.

A huge thank-you to everyone who picked up a tag this year! Please remember that all gifts should be returned by December 15th. Drop them off at the Botanic Gardens, and we’ll deliver everything to the organization on December 18th.
If you can't for any reason return your gift, please call Lanna at 307-637-6459 and we will make arrangements to fill the tag.

We are still accepting additional donations of new winter clothing and coats in sizes 18 months, 2T, 3T, 4T, and 5T for both girls and boys. If you didn’t get a tag, this is a wonderful way to still take part and make a difference.
