While none of the Hell on Wheels Rodeo Queens were alive on September 11, 2001, they have grown up in a country forever changed by the events of that day.

As they carry the American flag, they do so with great honor.

Today we remember those who were lost, the first responders who ran toward danger and the families forever changed.

We didn’t waste any time getting to work! Thanks to the DeLanceys for inviting us to participate in grand entry at an event they held at their place earlier this week.

It’s hard to put into words how much this year has meant to me. This journey has been filled with blessings, unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, and memories I will carry forever. Having the opportunity to wear this crown and represent the western way of life, our traditions, and the values that make our community so special has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

To my family and friends, thank you for being my biggest supporters through every early morning, late night, parade, rodeo, and everything in between. Thank you for always showing up, cheering me on, and believing in me. This crown may have sat on my head, but I could never have worn it without you.
