Charcoals might be a little messy, but we can ensure that they're fun! This beginner-friendly class is your excuse to jump in and get a little messy and see what's up...

Charcoal opens the door to rich, moody landscapes, striking portraits, and still lifes that feel alive in black, white, and every shade in between.
We’ll focus on the foundations of drawing through value, making this perfect for beginners, but also a great reset if you just need to get your hands moving again.

Come ready to play, get a little dusty, and see what emerges!

We're getting close to our free Urban Sketching meet-up! Curious what you can expect this Saturday? To start - Community. A good time. Chill energy to create around our beautiful city.

*How to Attend: This is a low-pressure meet-up that is lightly facilitated. There are no expectations and no requirement to be “good.” Conversation is welcome but never required.
This event is outdoors, and we will meet in front of the Asher building outside the Creativity Center at 2:00 p.m. before walking over to the Depot for this session.

This call welcomes all things book-arts related....

We are on the hunt for artists working in printmaking and book arts across a wide range of techniques and approaches. All printmaking/book-binding techniques are welcome, from traditional to digital and experimental processes. We are especially interested in work that highlights layering, texture, and the physical nature of ink and paper.

Key themes: Unique books, including zines, accordion books, and deconstructed or sculptural forms, as well as sketchbooks. Illustrators, writers, and collaborative or other hybrid practices. ALL BOOKS and things listed above.......
