3H RODEO — OK, LET'S TALK ABOUT THAT BACKLOG!

I've been getting the occasional message asking about pictures from Cheyenne Frontier Days, PBR Bulls & Beats, and a few other events I was able to shoot this summer…

And I don't blame you one bit!

I KNOW you're waiting.

And I KNOW I'm behind.

Really behind.

So, I wanted to take a minute and tell you what's going on.

The last 5-6 months have been a whirlwind and a real challenge! So much of my time has gone into taking care of everything involved with settling my Dad's estate. There has been an unbelievable amount of paperwork, decisions, coordinating, phone calls, travel and just…STUFF. Oh, and the emotional side of losing my Dad……

Then, just when I thought I might finally start getting caught up, I headed to Washington, D.C. for 10 days.

Unfortunately, neither estate tasks, appointments and paperwork nor airline travel seems to care very much about my photography schedule.

The result?

I've got a LOT of rodeo pics sitting on my computer waiting for me.

And believe me, it drives me nuts knowing there are cowboys, cowgirls, families and fans waiting to see those images.

So here's what I want you to know:

I haven't forgotten you. Your pictures are important.

Your pictures are coming.

I'm working my way through the backlog and I'm committed to getting images processed, organized and shared.

If you’re looking/waiting for something specific, please don’t hesitate to let me know right here.

I can't promise I'll have everything posted tomorrow — I wish I could! — but I can promise I'm working on it.

And I've been going through some of these images lately…

There are some REALLY cool pics in that backlog.

So hang in there with me.

I'm now working through the pile.

One memory — and one picture — at a time.

To my dear friend, Sheri , thank you for waiting on me! I promise I’m getting everything sorted out so our project gets my undivided attention.

On this World Photography Day I want to take a minute to thank every photographer out there that is following their passion and capturing the moments & memories that pass in seconds every day. I've got friends behind the lens capturing everything from grizzlies & broncs to brides, seniors and events. You all rock! In this time where everyone is carrying a camera that can make phone calls and send texts, you are the true photographers that capture the rides, concerts, weddings, experiences, and traditions that will allow generations to come to relive those moments.
