Today I visited the Cheyenne National Cemetery to pay respect to the men and women who laid everything on the line to protect our country.

There is a placard there with the Gettysburg Address, and this part stood out to me:

“It is for us the living… to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced… that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion… that these dead shall not have died in vain.”

They gave everything so that future generations could carry forward the American vision of self government. May we continue working to fulfill that vision, 250 years and beyond.

Happy Memorial Day.

Today we had a successful day going door-to-door in Senate District 31. We visited over 50 homes on day one.

It was great to meet directly with the people and hear personally about the things that they are worried about. Judicial reform, data centers, and procedural roadblocks in the Senate were all huge talking points that people brought up and are worried about.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from the people I hope to serve

The campaign is officially at the doors. The primary election is August 18 and early voting starts July 21st.

Onward !

Today I officially filed to run for Wyoming Senate District 31

Public service is an honor and a joy. I am grateful to live in a community where this opportunity is possible, and I am thankful for every chance to meet with neighbors, hear their concerns, and be a voice for the people of Senate District 31.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, prayed for me, challenged me and joined me on the campaign. The road to the August 18 Republican primary will be busy and intense, but I am excited for the work ahead.

Let’s get to work!

On May 12 and 13th, the Wyoming Joint Judiciary Committee met in Cheyenne for our first interim meeting. We talked about a series of issues and have several things that we will be carrying to the next meeting.

We talked about anti-SLAPP legislation. This would be about protecting people from frivolous lawsuits that are filed to intimidate them or stop them from speaking up. These are often called “SLAPP” lawsuits which stands for Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation. It means someone has used the legal system to drag a person through expensive litigation. The goal is to make sure that Wyoming citizens can use their rights without being financially punished for speaking up on matters of public concern.

We talked about inconsistencies in our laws around driving under the influence. In some situations, a charge that is more harmful to society treated as a misdemeanor while a similar crime is treated as a felony.

We created a guardianship task force to look at reformed when it comes to guardianship. Guardianship is when a court gives one person legal authority to make decisions for someone who cannot make those decision decisions on their own. It could be an elderly citizen of vulnerable adult or people with serious disabilities. A task force has been established to look for opportunities to fix problems in that system.

We are doing a major review of title six, which is part of Wyoming law that lists many of our criminal offenses. Because it’s a lot of law, Two groups have been established. We will be looking for outdated laws, inconsistencies, and ways to make our criminal code easier to understand and apply. The actual punishments from a misdemeanor or a felony are not consistent but the consequences are huge.

We talked about expanding access to court records. This idea was initially a bill that was brought by Representative Lucas House Bill 93 which I cosponsored. The idea is that a citizen should not have to wrestle with the justice system in order to get basic court documents or audio recordings in a timely way. We have the technology to make these systems more accessible, but we have to implement it carefully and responsibly.

I look forward to continuing this work and keeping you updated as a discussion move forward.

‘It’s Big Brother’: Wyomingites Concerned About Mandated ‘Kill Switches’ On Cars 05/02/2026

Appreciate Cowboy State Daily for covering this. The “kill switch” debate is about a federal mandate from the 2021 infrastructure law requiring future new vehicles to include advanced impaired driving prevention technology. Congress is now debating whether to block or repeal that mandate because of serious concerns about privacy, false positives, cost, and whether the government should require technology that can prevent your own vehicle from starting or operating. Public safety matters, but using it to justify draconian Big Brother control over private property is not the answer. The film Idiocracy was supposed to be satire, not a guide for public policy.

‘It’s Big Brother’: Wyomingites Concerned About Mandated ‘Kill Switches’ On Cars Multiple Wyoming lawmakers and a Cheyenne-based car dealer voiced concern Friday over a federal requirement for mandatory “kill switches” in 2027 model…

🚨SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent Court Notice Circulating

The Cheyenne Police Department is aware of a fraudulent “court enforcement” notice being shared and received by members of the public. This document is not an official notice from the courts or law enforcement. It appears to be a scam designed to pressure recipients into making payments or scanning suspicious QR codes.

Please remember:
• Do not scan unknown QR codes
• Do not send payments based on unsolicited notices
• Verify court matters directly through official court contacts
• Report suspicious activity to local law enforcement

Scammers often use official-looking logos, court names, and urgent language to appear legitimate. If you receive a notice like this and are unsure, contact the appropriate agency directly using publicly listed phone numbers or websites.
