Downtown First is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization originally established in November 1993.

Its mission is to cultivate and promote a thriving, vibrant and welcoming downtown. The purpose of DDF is to facilitate and support improvements to downtown Cheyenne. In concert with other groups, and especially with the DDA, the DDF actively solicits funds from grants, donations, revenue sharing, and other funding mechanisms to help provide financing for the improvement of downtown Cheyenne as well as support and participate in other activities and actions directed towards improving our downtown area.

ONE FREE TICKET. ONE SPOOKY TOWN. ONE VERY IMPORTANT TRAIN TO CATCH.

Imagine a slightly chaotic supernatural railroad town where the living coexist with the… hard to explain... and passengers just keep disappearing. Welcome to the Deadhead Express. A downtown Halloween experience with all the spooky seasonal charm of Halloween and one very important mission. Help the lost passengers get back home.

There’s just one problem:
They can’t board the train without a completed ticket.

That’s where you come in.

Step 1: Become a Junior Conductor at the Cheyenne Depot
Step 2: Pick up your official railroad ticket
Step 3: Travel through downtown collecting candy, experiences and punches at participating stops
Step 4: Return to the Depot with your completed ticket and help send the Lost Passengers home

Keep an eye out for these spirits and other “unusual” residents along the way. Some living. Some not. Some… hard to explain.
