BREAKING NEWS FROM THE IRS

The IRS Ends $600 1099 For Cash App and Venmo

Details:
You will no longer be receiving a 1099 form if you receive $600 or more for business services on a platform like Cash App or Venmo.

The rule was taking away because they had to much push back from the tax professional (which are people that do you taxes) and taxpayers (which are the people that pay taxes) and a lot of people were just confused. Instead what they’re wanting to do is to implement this new 1099 rule starting in 2024 and instead of it being $600 it’s $5,000.

If your business made $5,000 or over it you will be receiving a 1099 from Cash App or Venmo.
