We said goodbye to a great man, a great friend, and a great supporter of LCCC Rodeo. Steve Price lent his talents and skills to the LCCC Rodeo team fundraiser for many years because he believed in the community, he believed in the program, and he believed in our students. He will be missed!
The last “Spring 2026” rodeo is in the books!
The final rodeo of the spring college rodeo season was held April 24-26, in Laramie. The entire Central Rocky Mountain Region gathered there, for the University of Wyoming’s “Laramie River Rendezvous” rodeo. And what a weekend it was for the LCCC team!
Coach Dean Finnerty summed it all up perfectly! He shared, “Our athletes did awesome at UW this past weekend! We had 4 event winners: Rozlyn Herren won the goats, Connor Weese won the steer wrestling, Tacey From won the breakaway and Kahl Wasilow won the bull riding! Rayna Billingsley won the year-end in the breakaway, and is going to the CNFR! Kahl Wasilow won the bull riding year-end, and is going to the CNFR! Kaitlyn Idler is our student director for the region, and she gets to go to the CNFR in the breakaway! We are looking forward to their success at the CNFR! We are very proud of all our student athletes and all their accomplishments throughout this season!”
For LCCC’s women, it was a strong showing:
In the goat tying, Rozlyn Herren won 2nd in the long go, 4th in the short go and split 1st & 2nd in the average.
In the breakaway roping, Tacey From won 1st in the short go and 1st in the average.
In the barrel racing, Harley Mackey placed 5th in the long go, while teammate Rayna Billingsley won the short go
and placed 5th in the average.
The men of LCCC had a great weekend:
In the steer wrestling, Bohdi Coombs won 1st in the long go; teammate Connor Weese won 2nd in the long go, 2nd
in the short go and 1st in the average; and Carson Cooksley won 6th in the long go.
In the tie down roping, Taylor Drueke placed 6th in the long go.
In the bull riding, Kahl Wasilow won the 1st go, won the short go and won the average.
And in the team roping:
William Warner and Kyler Clark (UW) won 2nd in the long go.
Tacey From and Aaron Rodriquez won 3rd in the long go.
Teige Whitham and Cannon Campbell won 6th in the long go, 3rd in the short go and 3rd in the average.
The College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) will be held June 14-20, 2026, in Casper, WY.
Ok, I’m not bright sometimes! I get in a hurry!! I forgot Rozlyn Herren won the goat tying also and Kahl was also the champion at the rodeo !!! I’m very sorry!!!
Congratulations Rayna Billingsley, regional champion breakaway roper 2026! Kahl Wasilow regional bull riding champion 2026!! Good luck at the CNFR in June!!!

Short round qualifiers for UW tomorrow! Great long round, best of luck in the short round! Kahl Wasilow won the first round in the bull riding and he will ride again tomorrow. Rhet Tattrie will ride his 2nd horse tomorrow also!!! Super proud of these athletes!!!
CASPER RODEO RESULTS…
And now, the 4th rodeo of the spring season for LCCC’s rodeo student athletes is in the books. Casper College T-Bird’s hosted the region at their 70th annual rodeo, known as the “Tom Parker Memorial Ropin’ & Riggin’ Rodeo” there in Casper, on April 17-19, 2026.
The timed event men of LCCC’s athletes had a very strong weekend:
In the steer wrestling, Bohdi Coombs won 2nd in the long go, 1st in the short go and 1st in the average, with
teammate, Carson Cooksley, placing 3rd in the long go, 3rd in the short go and 2nd in the average. And Jaden
Fanning won 5th in the short go and 5th in the average.
In the team roping, Glade Parker and Rhett Tattrie won 2nd in the long go. Fellow ropers Clancy Adamson and
Rhett Lowe won 6th in the short go and 6th in the average.
In the tie down roping, Cannon Campbell won 3rd in the long go and Taylor Drueke placed 3rd in the short go and
3rd in the average.
And, for LCCC’s women:
In the barrel racing, Savannah Roberts won 2nd in the long go, while teammate Katherine Weese won 5th in the average.
Coach Dean Finnerty shared, “The athletes had a good weekend in Casper! They made some good strides towards the CNFR!” Looking forward, he said, “With one week left, I hope that the students who have been successful stay on track, and that the rest of our athletes go back to the basics, to start on the winning track. For all of them, though, the best of luck and let’s enjoy the ride!” And, regarding the Casper rodeo itself, Coach Finnerty complimented them by saying, “The Casper crew put on a great event! Nice job!”
The Central Rocky Mountain region’s spring season will finish April 24-26, at the University of Wyoming, in Laramie, Wyoming, where regional awards will be handed out.

RODEO RESULTS FROM CSU!
The 3rd rodeo of the spring season for LCCC’s rodeo student athletes just finished, with Colorado State University holding their rodeo in Loveland, CO, April 3-5, 2026.
Of the CSU rodeo, Coach Dean Finnerty said, “We had a lot of success this last weekend at CSU! Our students really stepped up! We are very pleased with all their efforts. They are just a great group of athletes! CSU’s Coach Whitney and her crew put on a really good rodeo for us…along with a great Easter egg hunt!”
LCCC’s women performed very strong:
In the breakaway roping, Kloe Nichols won the long go; Addison Parker split 4th-5th in the long go, won 5th in
the short go and was 3rd in the average; and Tacey From split 1st-2nd in the short go and won 2nd in the average.
In the barrel racing, Savannah Roberts won 2nd in the long go, 3rd in the short go and 2nd in the average, while
teammate Harley Mackey won 2nd in the short go and split 3rd-4th in the average.
And the men of LCCC’s men were very competitive:
In the bull riding, Kahl Wasilow won the 2nd go round.
In the steer wrestling, Chase Olson won 6th in the long go, while teammate Conner Weese won 4th in the short go
and placed 6th in the average.
And for LCCC’s team ropers, Laramie Nutter and Jaden Fanning won 4th in the short go and 5th in the average!
The Central Rocky Mountain region’s spring season will continues as follows:
April 17-19, at Casper College, in Casper, Wyoming.
April 24-26, at the University of Wyoming, in Laramie, Wyoming. (This is the final rodeo of the spring season.)

Your Laramie County Community College Rodeo Team had an awesome weekend last week with Kahl Wasilow taking home 1st place in Bull Riding! Full Results below!
EASTERN WYOMING COLLEGE RODEO RESULTS…
The 2nd rodeo of the spring season for LCCC’s rodeo student athletes was held March 27-29, in Torrington, Wyoming, with Eastern Wyoming College in charge of the rodeo.
LCCC’s men showed very well over the weekend:
In the steer wrestling, Carson Cooksley won 4th the short go and 4th in the average.
And, in the bull riding, Kahl Wasilow won the 2nd go round for LCCC.
Several of LCCC’s women also had a great weekend:
In the goat tying, Addison Parker won 4th in the long go, 2nd in the short go and 2nd in the average. Her teammate,
Rozlyn Herren won 2nd in the long go, 5th in the short go and 3rd in the average.
In the breakaway roping, Shelby Derner split 4th-5th in the long go, was 2nd in the short go and 2nd in the average.
And, Jessica Woodward won 3rd in the long go for LCCC.
In the barrel racing, Harley Mackey won 3rd in the long go and was 6th in the average.
Coach Dean Finnerty summed up this second rodeo by saying “We had a great weekend of rodeo in Torrington. LCCC’s athletes did well and we are really proud of them all! And, Coach Whit and the EWC crew put on a great rodeo.”
The Central Rocky Mountain region’s spring season will continues as follows:
April 3-5, at Colorado State University, in Loveland, Colorado.
April 17-19, at Casper College, in Casper, Wyoming.
April 24-26, at the University of Wyoming, in Laramie, Wyoming. (This is the final rodeo of the spring season.)
