Victoria "Vicki" Jane Eagleman, 33, of the Lower Brule Indian Reservation in central South Dakota, was last seen alive during the weekend of July 27–28, 2006. A recently divorced mother of five, Eagleman had moved back to Lower Brule to live with her mother and stepfather while she looked for work.

According to published accounts, she spent the afternoon of her disappearance swimming and socializing with a group of friends along the Missouri River. When she failed to return, her family reported her missing, and a search effort involving nearly 200 volunteers was organized on the reservation on August 22, 2006. Her remains were discovered the following day, August 23, 2006, in a remote area of the reservation.

Alejandro Pilar Vasquez, also known as Alex "Tank" Gay or Vazquez, was 24 years old at the time of his disappearance and had been living intermittently in Dodge City, Kansas, with his father before returning to South Dakota's Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for a visit the weekend before Halloween 2015. He was staying with his brother at a residence roughly five miles west of Kyle, South Dakota. In the early morning hours of October 29, 2015, Vasquez left that residence, near American Horse Creek, and has not been seen or heard from since.

Rock Springs Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating Nicholas David Noble. He is described as six feet tall, slim, and having a goatee. Nicholas was last wearing black sweatpants, black tennis shoes, and a black sweater with white and gray stripes.

Renzo Bullhead, 20, of McLaughlin, South Dakota, has been missing since the night of March 16, 2025. Bullhead, a welding student at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, North Dakota, had spent spring break at his mother's home in McLaughlin and was driven back to campus that evening. He then asked to be driven to Mandan, North Dakota, to meet two friends. Around 8 p.m., a friend in phone contact said Bullhead told him he was walking east across the Burlington Northern/BNSF railroad bridge that spans the Missouri River between Mandan and Bismarck, and asked to be picked up on the Bismarck side. The friend said Bullhead never arrived. Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators appears to show a man matching Bullhead's description crossing the bridge from the Mandan side at approximately 8:18 p.m.; a separate camera on the Bismarck side recorded a splash in the river waters approximately twenty minutes later, though the cause of the splash has not been confirmed.

A hunter discovered partial skeletal remains in a shallow, disturbed grave on Medicine Mountain in Pennington County, South Dakota, west of Hill City, in the fall of 1978. Additional bones, including the pelvis, were recovered in the days following the initial find, and some remains, including one or both hands, were never located.

Savannah Standing Bear, a 22-year-old Native American (Sicangu Lakota/Rosebud Sioux Tribe) woman, was reported missing from her family's home in the Parmelee community on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in Todd County, South Dakota. Standing Bear's mother last heard from her daughter on the night of March 24, 2025; Standing Bear was not in her room the following morning, and family members reported she may have left the home with an unidentified friend or friends.

Alton Daniel Mesteth, 54, of Kyle, South Dakota, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of January 27, 2024, when unidentified individual(s) fired multiple shots from a vehicle into his home near Kyle on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Investigators believe Mesteth, an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, may not have been the intended target of the shooting. No description of a suspect or vehicle has been publicly released, and the circumstances leading to the shooting have not been disclosed.

Perry Ray Robinson Jr., 35, of Bogue Chitto, Alabama, disappeared in late April 1973 while participating in the American Indian Movement's occupation of Wounded Knee on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
