This week, we’re celebrating the conclusion of MiTek’s 2026 North American Summer Internship Program!

Over the past 12 weeks, 13 interns worked alongside teams in Customer Experience, Innovation, IT, Marketing, and Manufacturing, gaining hands-on experience and a closer look at how our business operates. Throughout the summer, they connected with leaders, built new relationships, and shared their work through final presentations.

MiTek Sr. R&D Scientist, Quang Huynh, recently presented at the 13th U.S. National Conference on Earthquake Engineering (13NCEE).

The presentation highlighted the use of SidePlate Moment Connection Technology, together with Taylor Devices dampers and CastConnex brackets, for a healthcare facility currently under construction at UCSF. Attendees also learned how advanced simulation and virtual testing were used to evaluate the performance of the hybrid seismic system.

Conferences like 13NCEE help bring researchers and engineers together to share ideas, discuss new technologies, and advance the future of resilient infrastructure.

We’re proud to be part of building the future of structural engineering. MiTek has partnered with the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations to help inspire the next generation of engineers and expand access to careers in our industry. Through this partnership, we’re supporting:

➡️ Future Builders: A national K-12 STEM program introducing students to structural engineering through hands-on learning.

➡️ Beyond the Build Scholarships: Expanding access to engineering education for students from underrepresented backgrounds.

Last week, MiTek team members around the world took part in our latest Learning Days (June 22-26), setting aside dedicated time to focus on growth and development.

Aligned with our Q2 learning theme, Innovation at MiTek, team members explored new ideas, built skills, and invested in areas that support both their personal growth and day-to-day work. Key areas of focus included AI, innovation, creativity, and communication.
