Today we got together to learn how to play Mahjong. There were plenty of questions, lots of learning and laughs along the way.

A special thank you to Melissa (and friends) with Commonwealth Tile Club for sharing your knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm of the game. We had a great time and can’t wait to put our new Mahjong skills to the test!

Today, the Junior Federated Women’s Club of Chester honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have protected the freedoms we cherish every day.

Wendy is the definition of someone who simply shows up — ready to serve, lead, encourage, and make a difference wherever there is a need. From supporting projects across our club to uplifting every member with her positivity and contagious spirit, Wendy’s impact reaches far beyond any single event or project.

She leads with compassion, gives selflessly, and inspires everyone around her — including her daughter, Regan, who is already learning the joy of serving others through her mother’s example.

We are so grateful for Wendy’s unwavering commitment to the JFWCC and our community. Please join us in celebrating this incredible teacher, volunteer, encourager, and friend! ✨

What a year for the JFWCC! 💙✨

At our year-end banquet, we celebrated an incredible year of service, friendship, and impact in our community. Together, our 107 members welcomed 15 new clubwomen, logged more than 4,000 volunteer hours, and raised over $30,000 to support local charities and organizations throughout Chesterfield and beyond.

From providing Thanksgiving meals, birthday kits, diapers, blankets, PB&Js, and hygiene items, to supporting schools, hospitals, fire stations, food banks, and literacy programs — the heart of JFWCC was on full display all year long. ❤️

We also celebrated the friendships and leadership that make our club so special through socials, service projects, recognition awards, and more than 70 years of dedication to serving our community.

Thank you to every member who gave their time, talents, and heart this year. Here’s to another amazing year of service and sisterhood! 🌸

Today we celebrate the incredible mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, caregivers, and mother figures who lead with love, strength, compassion, and endless support. Thank you for the countless ways you nurture your families, friends, and communities while inspiring those around you every single day.

We are especially grateful for the amazing women within our club who balance service, leadership, friendship, and family with such grace. Your impact reaches far beyond our organization and into the hearts of so many throughout Chesterfield County.

We’re really grateful to the Junior Federated Women’s Club of Chester (JFWCC) for showing up for those we serve.

They created over 100 of the sweetest cake kits, donating 10 to us and the rest to local Communities in Schools programs, and also made a financial gift to support our work.

Something we hear from social workers a lot is that, because of our birthday boxes, this is sometimes the very first cake a young person has ever had or made. That’s the kind of moment that sticks.

Our Project Tooth Fairy Drive in support of the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center was a huge success—and it’s all thanks to the generosity and heart of our amazing JFWCC members and community! 💙

Together, we collected:
🪥 884 toothbrushes
😁 132 tubes of toothpaste
🧵 102 floss packs
✨ 522 individual flossers
🧳 12 travel kits

These essential items will go a long way in supporting healthy smiles for families in our community. We’re so proud of what we can accomplish when we come together for a cause that truly matters.

Showing up. Again and again. That’s who we are. 💚

Whether it’s serving families at Greenleigh Food Distribution, making PB&J sandwiches for our unhoused neighbors, or volunteering at the Chesterfield Food Bank Distribution, our JFWCC members continue to lead with heart and consistency.

Food insecurity is an issue that deeply resonates with our club, and we are proud to stand beside organizations working tirelessly to support our community. There’s a good chance if you’re out serving, you’ll spot a familiar JFWCC face right there with you—ready to lend a hand.

Because making a difference isn’t just about one big moment—it’s about showing up, time and time again.

JFWCC proudly stands in support of Denim Day, joining a global movement to raise awareness and take a stand against sexual violence.

Observed on the last Wednesday in April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Denim Day began in 1999 after an Italian court overturned a r**e conviction based on the harmful and false belief that clothing implied consent. In response, women in the Italian Parliament wore jeans in solidarity—igniting a movement that continues to challenge victim-blaming and support survivors around the world.

In honor of this day, JFWCC was proud to make a donation to The James House, helping support their critical work providing services, advocacy, and hope to survivors in our community.

We wear denim not as a fashion statement, but as a symbol of solidarity, awareness, and a commitment to change. 💙
