Today was Transport-U's 3rd year participating in the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce Serving Our Seniors - West County Chamber West County Senior Lifestyle Expo , and once again, it did not disappoint

I came home tired, but it was a good tired.

We spent the day meeting seniors, caregivers, families, and community partners, answering questions, sharing information, and watching people have fun spinning the prize wheel.

We ended the day with a little over 200 raffle entries! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, took a chance on the wheel, picked up information, or simply shared a conversation with us.

I was so busy that I hardly took any pictures, but that's okay. The best part of the day wasn't the photos it was the people.

We'll draw our raffle winner tomorrow morning, so stay tuned!

This event is one of my favorites every year because it gives us the opportunity to connect directly with the seniors and families we serve.

AAA is reporting that 45 million Americans are expected to travel this Memorial Day weekend and most will be traveling by car.

That means busier roads, longer travel times, and a greater need to plan ahead.

I spent years helping care for them and making sure they got to appointments safely and with dignity.
