Our brother John just launched a new venture with Randy Washburn called Wandering Armadillos. They specialize in restaurant décor with a twist—everything on the walls is for sale!

Fifteen years ago today, we launched the Cake Stop Truck — and what a ride it’s been. Yesterday, Rachel reminded me it was also the day we hired her to help run the truck. What she didn’t know at the time was that she'd end up driving it, working it, and managing every aspect of it. Pretty sure she wasn't being totally honest in the interview either… LOL.

Those years were truly some of the best. I can’t thank you all enough for being part of the journey. I’m working on documenting everything from that wild ride — the good, the stressful, the behind-the-scenes moments with city officials, event planners, and of course, our incredible customers.

One story I’ll never forget: the woman who jogged past the truck twice while we were sitting in Kirkwood, clearly debating whether she could justify a cupcake mid-run. I told her no cupcake until the run was finished — then literally followed her home to make sure she completed it before I handed it over. Now that is a video I wish I had.
