In the criminal justice system, police officers, prosecutors, and judges all have different definitions of what justice is. A defense lawyer’s role is to get a fair result for his client.

Justice, what is justice?

It’s a word thrown around a lot, especially in legal matters. Here I give a textbook/basic definition for what justice is. The next video I talk about how Justice is viewed through the eyes of the movie “The Godfather,” and in practically, in the criminal justice system.

People HAVE forgotten how to drive after the Pandemic, isn’t that the truth?! I’ve handled many more high speed traffic cases, reckless driving cases in the past couple years than I have for most of my previous career. I’m also still handling many DWI cases in St. Louis, St. Charles, and Jefferson Counties.

Recently, I went into a podcast studio to share information on my law firm, what sort of legal work I handle, and to discuss common legal issues that arise in criminal law. Here’s a short clip of some of the hour-long interview.

Just to provide some context to the clip: in theory, everyone in this country has the presumption of innocence. However in practice, by the police and prosecutor simply charging you with a crime almost creates a presumption of guilt in the public eye, for why would you be charged with something if you weren’t guilty. Unfortunately, this is the logic that leads to a police state, where they dictate the guilty and the innocent based on who gets charged and who doesn’t.
