On June 19th, 1865, troops arrived in Galveston, Texas with the news that more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were finally free.
This day became known as Juneteenth: a celebration of freedom...and the resilience, culture, and contributions of Black Americans.
For 60 years, The Consortium has carried that spirit of freedom forward, breaking down barriers to opportunity and opening doors. The fight for equality and equity doesn’t end. It evolves. And so do we.
Tell us: how are you celebrating Juneteenth and honoring the continued fight? Share in the comments ⬇️

As we continue celebrating 60 years of The Consortium, we’re honored to highlight alumni whose experiences reflect the heart of our community. Today, we celebrate CGSM alum Ahmyah Smith.
“Being a part of Consortium helped me build my community while I navigated through business school. Even after graduation, I still have relationships with my fellow Consortium members beyond my school.”
The MBA journey is transformative, but it can also feel overwhelming. What makes The Consortium different is the lifelong network built along the way — relationships that extend far beyond campus and long past graduation.
Are you a CGSM alum? We’d love to spotlight your journey and impact. Click here to be featured: https://lnkd.in/enBpnRr9

We are excited to kick off our monthly Alumni Spotlight, sharing the stories that have shaped The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, stories of opportunity, community, and impact.
As we celebrate 60 years of The Consortium, we honor the alumni who continue to move our mission forward.
Today, we’re proud to spotlight Phaidra Stanley, BSBM, MBA, a Business School alum whose journey reflects the power of connection, service, and paying it forward. Her story reminds us that the Consortium experience doesn’t end at graduation, it lives on through engagement, mentorship, and service.

Black History Month is a time to honor legacy, celebrate excellence, and reflect on the paths paved before us. As we celebrate 60 years at The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, we reflect on how far we’ve come and the future leaders we continue to support by expanding access to business education and leadership opportunities.
Today, that future is on full display as one of our students hosts on the GRAMMYs red carpet. It is a moment shaped by preparation, support, and opportunity.
