Hey friends. We're going to do a cook on Saturday, December 7th at The Commons. This is college football conference championship week. We will watch the 11:00 AM and the 2:30 games. Come on out. Bring your favorite beverage and something to share. We'll have some interesting smoked meats and appropriate football watching food. Need more info??? Just let us know.

Hey friends...we're firing up the smoker tomorrow (Saturday, March 23rd) in advance of the 2nd round NCAA basketball games. We'll light the fire around 9:00 AM. The games start at 11:00. Let's do this!!

Flipping chicken

I've been trying to think of a name for the smoker/grill we made last week. Because of its size, a name like "The Beast" seemed like an option. But then, when you consider it's behind a church, it didn't seem like a good idea.

What do you think of, "Smogrill"? Think, "Smaug" or "Smeagol" from The Lord of the Rings and that will get you in the right area from a pronunciation standpoint.

Here it is used in a sentence, "Would you like to throw some things on Smogrill this weekend and watch some football?"
