Major HVAC Upgrade Complete!

Our team successfully replaced all pneumatic heating valve actuators with Belimo electric actuators across 40 reheat coils spanning 8 floors of this high-rise building. 🏢⚙️

This project included:
• Cutting out hundreds of feet of severely clogged piping
• Replacing leaking coils as needed to restore full efficiency
• Installing new service valves to isolate and drain each floor individually

These upgrades not only modernize the system for better reliability and control, but also improve energy efficiency and maintenance accessibility for years to come.

This winter, we repaired three plate heat exchangers used to transfer heat from a Fuel Cell Energy power plant to domestic water and heating water. Years of poor water treatment had left the heat exchangers in bad shape, with holes in every plate. We had to repair the existing standing plates, which were no longer available. The system is now up and running, with the rebuilt heat exchangers maintaining the load of the university swimming pool and providing hot water for three buildings.
