To prevent any water damage, check to make sure the hot water will not drain somewhere that's supposed to stay dry and use a wet/dry vac to suck up the water and debris.

Deep scratch repair - first attempt

This morning I dressed 100% expecting this to happen. It's spilled red touch-up paint. No big deal!

I was trusted with attempting a new deep-scratch repair technique and it turned out totally smooth to the touch but the color was a little more pale than the surrounding factory red. We're not totally sure what happened but we agreed that it's an acceptable repair and better than leaving it how it was.
