Now Spinning: Run the Jewels - RTJ4 (on dope magenta vinyl)

Released this year in September, Run the Jewels - Run the Jewels 4 is the best protest record to be released in 2020. This is a 2x LP, original pressing on translucent magenta vinyl; Europe.

Written and produced before the civil unrest of this year sparked by the murder of George Floyd at the hands of police, Killer Mike and El-P deliver my favorite RTJ album since RTJ1. They don’t stray away from their fun and loud style, and the message and stories contained therein are relevant today and likely relevant for years to come no matter who wins the November elections in the U.S. 10/10; highly recommend.

Now Spinning: Sublime - Sublime (on gorgeous pink vinyl)

Originally released in July of 1996, Sublime’s eponymous major-label debut was a staple in my rotation of albums as I drove around with my crew. This is a 2019 2x LP, limited edition reissue on 180g pink vinyl; Germany pressing.

Despite the experts that say colored vinyl suffers from audio quality, this pressing sounds magnificent on my turntable setup. 10/10; highly recommend.
