Track and field day!

Track and field day is tomorrow!

K-2 starts at 8:15
3-5 starts at 12:15

-Each class will sit in a "Camp" area in the bleachers.
-They can wear sunglasses and hats but can not wear them when competing. Leave at the camp area.
-Bring a towel or blanket to sit on in the camp area.
-Wear sunscreen!!! It's going to be a hot one tomorrow!
-Bring a water bottle, PALS will have a cooler to fill them up if needed.
-Listen to events, get to your events quickly and without interrupting a race or event.
-No spikes or cleats will be worn, just Shirt, Shorts and Tennis shoes!!

-See below for a tentative schedule, remembering from year to year if fluctuates, so they won't be done exactly at the same times as listed!

We're thrilled to announce a special treat just for parents! On Track and Field Day, May 15th, we'll be hosting a food truck exclusively for adults. While students will continue to enjoy their delicious school lunches, parents can indulge in a variety of tasty options from our special menu.

Take a peek at what's cooking! This adds another convenient lunch option alongside D'Mario's, Benny's, Subway, or China Bar.

During the week of Tuesday, May 7th - Friday, May 10th, Cheney Elementary Student Council will sponsor a special collection for the Cheney Emergency Fund. We are collecting coins to help families with utility payments and food vouchers throughout the year.

On Tuesday, May 7th, we will collect pennies.

On Wednesday, May 8th, we will collect nickels.

On Thursday, May 9th, we will collect dimes.

On Friday, May 10th, we will collect quarters.

In preparation of the Fine Arts Showcase, students will need to enter the New Gym doors, rather than the Old Gym doors each morning April 23rd-29th. Drop off will be in the same spot, students will just walk to the New Gym.
