For the branding of we focused on hand drawn typography that reflected the landscape and trails of Signal Mountain. We wanted to develop an earthy aesthetic that felt nostalgic, memorable and welcoming to all.

Stay curious. Stay contemporary.
We felt like it was important to design a brand mark for that felt expressive of the values it holds, the community it represents and the mission it intends to serve.
The identity system consists of 3 rings that converge to represent the unity of these 3 brand pillars. People, place and art.
Contemporary in style, evoking a certain level of refinement, while feeling welcoming all at the same time.

The Institute of Contemporary Art at UTC is Tennessee’s first and only ICA, presenting bold, curious and adventurous encounters with contemporary art.

The design is highlighted by subtle animations, vibrant color ways and fun shape play. We wanted to create a space for Motivo to communicate its mission and services in an exciting way that reflected the brands new personality.
