Family owned & operated breakfast and lunch to order in a fun, cozy atmosphere with DELICIOUS options. Biscuits, bread, and baked goods are all cooked in house. Every week day, we have a special homemade soup.

I owe y’all an apology.
I’ve been so busy trying to balance running a restaurant, raising a child, and keeping all the other plates spinning that I’ve completely fallen behind on my posting duties lately.
The longer I went without posting, the more I built it up in my head, so I’m just ripping the bandaid off and getting back to it.

We are OPEN every Sunday, but I think some folks may have forgotten, because there’s been NO WAIT almost all day. So here’s your reminder: we’re here every Sunday from 9–2 and parking is free on Sundays.

We’ve added some new menu items, including the Figgin’ Delicious Biscuit, and honestly, there are several things on the Sunday menu right now that I’m pretty excited about.

If it’s been a while since you’ve been in, we’d love to see you. And if you’ve joined us recently, thank you for supporting this little family owned restaurant while we figure things out, try new ideas, and continue tweaking things along the way.

Oh, also, would y’all want me to post the Sunday menu? It’s still evolving and changing a little, but I’m happy to share what we’re working on if that’s something y’all wanna see.

Sunday was really special for us.

We closed the doors for family meal, packed the dining room with people we love, tested the new brunch menu, passed plates around, took notes, laughed a lot, and left feeling really excited about where Bluegrass is headed.

Thank y’all for letting us take a Sunday to do that. Owning a small family restaurant means a lot of moving parts all the time, and getting one day to slow down a little and share food together reminded us why we care so much about this place in the first place.

The new Sunday menu officially starts this Sunday and we cannot wait for everyone to try it.

Also… new specials for this week. Peach cobbler pancakes. Brunch quesadilla.

Restaurant people really do not know how to relax apparently. I fear we may have accidentally made the specials too good this week.

Italian shrimp & grits:
pesto shrimp, Italian sausage, blistered tomatoes, roasted garlic, caramelized onions, confit leeks, goat cheese parmesan polenta from Dayspring Farms.

Bananas foster Japanese milk bread French toast: unreal.

Also, we’ll be closed this Sunday (17th) for a family meal with our crew.
We’re feeding our peoples the way they feed everybody else all year long , testing the new Sunday brunch menu, (mildly losing our minds), and reopening on the 24th with a brand new menu.

Very excited. Very tired. Very grateful for y’all.

Just now finally settling in for the night after our first ever Mother’s Day Sunday at Bluegrass.
Getting to watch people spend time with and spoil their mamas, grown kids taking their mama to brunch, it was really sweet to see (definitely made me miss my sweet Oliver).

Thank y’all for showing up for us today and for all the sweet Mother’s Day wishes for Nona. The matriarch of Main Street. We are truly thankful for all your love and support.

Now time for a big ole family meal with our crew next Sunday (17th) before we share the new brunch menu we’ve been cooking up. We’re excited to share it with y’all.
