We’re thrilled to share that Lemons in Sterling by gallery artist Hunter Eddy has found its new home.

This luminous still life has been a favorite in the gallery for quite some time — a quiet, classical beauty with glowing lemons, soft shadow, and the subtle reflection of a sterling silver bowl. It is one of those paintings that rewards a second look… and then a third.

Hunter Eddy is a contemporary classical-realist painter known for his still lifes, portraits, and traditional Renaissance-era techniques. After studying at the Art Institute of Boston, Eddy continued his training at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, where he later served as a principal painting instructor for a decade. His work reflects the discipline of the Old Masters, with echoes of Caravaggio, Sargent, and Cézanne — but always with his own quiet, modern sensitivity.

Congratulations to the new collector of this beautiful piece. We’ll miss seeing these lemons glowing in the gallery!
