My opinion may surprise you….

I don’t think every house needs to be completely updated before you put it on the market.

Sometimes the better move is to price it appropriately and let the next owner decide what they want to change.

I’ve seen sellers spend thousands updating things that weren’t necessarily wrong, only for the buyer to walk in and immediately start talking about what they would do differently. 😅

There are absolutely repairs and updates that can make a difference when it comes time to sell.
But updating just for the sake of making everything “new” doesn’t always mean you’re getting that money back.
Sometimes clean, well-maintained and priced right wins.

And sometimes that 20-year-old kitchen is perfectly fine. 😉
