Jay Banasiak inherited hundreds of board feet of antique black walnut lumber from his grandmother in 2007 and has been woodworking with it since. Ready for the soft opening Saturday at ! I loved meeting other vendors and seeing their spaces come together.

I didn’t quite get all the product tagged and placed out that I wanted, but I got far enough! 😅 That’s what next week is for, right?!

Pretty proud of my first daily brick-and-mortar setup. The wooden ladder is half of an extension ladder of my maternal grandfather’s. My brother Mark has the other half. The sewing table was salvaged from here in town a few years ago. The wooden crates are antique grape crates from CA. The walnut plank holding the white-wire shelves is from the large stash of my great-grandfather’s black walnut tree that started my hobby-turned-business. (And the 2x4 on the floor is from my grandfathers scrap pile! He’d be proud I finally used it, after having it in my possession for nearly 20 years.)

They say this is the second-oldest building in Chattanooga. I love the character- it’s perfect for vintage and vintage-themed goods.
