Join the Hamilton County, TN AMERICA 250 Celebration with a booth in the Colonial Village, Saturday, July 4th, 2026 at the Downtown Riverfront!
Details for the Hamilton County America 250 Celebration:
The emphasis for the village is to highlight life in 1776 and Colonial Trades. Participants are asked to show how the demonstration relates back to the American Revolution. Scouts are still learning skills used during the Revolution through Merit Badges, perfect for teaching the history of our Country.
Scout Skills such as Surveying, Pioneering, Woodworking, Woodcarving, Leatherwork, Rope Making, American Indian Culture, and Cryptography used during the Revolution are needed.
There are roughly 18 booths available for demonstrations, requiring 10x10 or a 10x12 pop-up tent, (requesting Red, White, Blue or Neutral Color). No open fire allowed, bring your own table, chairs and water. Food Trucks will be on the street above the Village.
Scouts will be able to complete most of the requirements for the Liberty in Action Challenge https://tacscouting.org/2026/03/03/liberty-in-action/ by visiting the Educational Revolutionary War Exhibits about the Founding of our Nation, also a requirement for Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge.
FAMILY SEARCH experts will be there to work on Genealogy.
The Scouts can volunteer to help with the Village set up on Friday 12:00- 5:00 or early Sat. morning, 8:00-11:00.
Assisting the Exhibitors Saturday afternoon anytime from 1:00-6:00 would also qualify for service hours.
Request Scouts be in uniform or a Scouting Troop T-Shirt, 2 deep Leadership is required.
If unable to Volunteer, attending the Hamilton County America 250 Celebration will be a great event for the entire family.
Contact Trish by the e-mail listed below if your Troop would like to participate, or if you have any questions.
