Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that can be deadly in even very small amounts and is often found in counterfeit pills and other illicit drugs.

Parents and caregivers play a key role in prevention by having open conversations early, sharing facts, and making it clear you’re a trusted source for questions.

Learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose and respond in an emergency. Request an Overdose Prevention Training by visiting: https://www.hccoalition.org/overdose-awareness-trainings

Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us that every conversation can make a difference. Learning the warning signs of su***de and knowing how to respond helps create a stronger, more supportive community.

If your organization, congregation, or community group is interested in su***de prevention education, contact our Faith-Based Coordinator at 423-677-0158 to schedule a training and learn how to recognize risk, offer support, and connect individuals to resources.

Our Prevention Team recently attended the City of Chattanooga’s Juvenile Safety Information event. We had the opportunity to hear powerful, real-life stories about the lasting outcomes and consequences of the choices we make, while also connecting with families to share resources and information on youth substance use prevention.

Prevention starts with education, conversation, and community.

Our Prevention Team and Regional Overdose Prevention Specialists had a great time connecting with students at Chattanooga State’s Summer Mixer! We shared brief overdose prevention education, provided information about local resources and programs, and answered questions from students throughout the event.

After the mixer, our ROPS led an overdose prevention training for the Veterinary Technician class, educating students with knowledge and tools that can help save lives.

Thank you to Chattanooga State for partnering with us to promote awareness, education, and prevention throughout our community!
