One win I’m proud of this year is moving to a new country and building a new life. And, of course, walking with lions because apparently moving wasn’t enough adventure for one year. Thankfully, it ended with a photo instead of me becoming lunch!

Ben Lamontagne is joining our team, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Ben brings a passion for thoughtful, community-driven design, approaching every project with collaboration, precision, and a commitment to delivering practical, cost-effective solutions. With a background in civil engineering and project development, he is passionate about creating spaces that make a meaningful impact on the communities they serve. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with his family. He recently graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he also helped build and lead the UTC Club Pickleball, developing a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and teamwork.

The Chattanooga Engineering Group was proud to team up with the SheBuilds program to lead two high energy engineering challenges for local students.
SheBuilds is a flagship initiative of SheSTEAM, an African Research Collaborative initiative dedicated to empowering girls in STEAM. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)
Zeca Ferraz introduced the concepts of bridge design and flight before teams competed in popsicle stick bridge and paper airplane challenges.
The creativity and teamwork on display were absolutely incredible! We are honored to support SheSTEAM’s mission.
Site visit - Kimball TN
Out in Kimball checking existing conditions for a new commercial development.
Site visits matter: there’s no substitute for being on the ground to make sure the design truly fits the site. Excited to support a growing community.
Cold mornings in the mountains
Walking the site with builders and developers for a potential mountain development, even if it meant single-digit temperatures on the side of Lookout. Cold weather aside, this one is exciting and starting to take shape.
Grateful for the site visit and the chance to be involved early. The project looks promising, and we’re here every step of the way.

Great night connecting with the local homebuilding community at the Home Builders Association Annual Dinner.
CEG was proud to be in the room with so many builders, partners, and decision-makers shaping residential development in our region. We’ve had the chance to work with many HBA members over the years, and it’s always valuable to strengthen those relationships and meet new faces.
