Time for us to get our road trip officially started after stopping at Peregrine for the world’s best pies, apples and apple juice.

Next stop… wherever we need to for a fun road trip!

And with that, our journey in America comes to a close. Our lives packed up into a few suitcases with everything else sold, donated, or throw away. Never did we think we’d have to go through all of this again…selling and packing up our lives into a few black bags to have to go to another country and start all over again.

The whole situation is unfair, unjust and just bleh.

We will bounce back. I have no doubt about that. We will try to get to America again. It will take time. It will take effort. It will be better.

They say it takes three years to settle into a new country, we were just hitting that pivotal moment.

We’ve been blessed to find good friends that have become family. We have been blessed with the best godparents for our little Mia Grace. We have been blessed with the adventures we have gotten to go on.

America, it’s not goodbye it’s just we will see you later.

This is how I feel but little Mia gets all the sleep when daddy’s awake and then keeps daddy awake when he should be sleep.

Life has been a series of fortunate events over the last few days. I’ll be M.I.A for a bit. Get it? Good! Brace yourselves for the dad jokes…

Thanksgiving looks a little different this year. We’re home, nesting, hanging out, being thankful, remembering the blessings we’ve had over the last year. It’s not the traditional USA thanksgiving, but we’re making it ours. We don’t have family close by, not blood family at least, but it is our last thanksgiving as just the two of us. Next year baby girl will be almost a year old, and we are looking forward to that!

This year has had its ups and downs, but here are the ups:
1. We’re pregnant! God is good! Due date soon!
2. Our visas were approved for renewal just days before thanksgiving! Stress has decreased
3. Our first real Christmas tree was gifted to us! Notice all the ‘gifts’ under the tree? 😂
4. We have been blessed with people around us that share no blood, but through God we have family! They have spoilt us with the prep for baby girls arrival.
5. and I have almost been married 6 years! We’ve done a lot, learned a lot, leaned on each other and lifted each other when we had no energy to go on.
6. We’re living in the US of A, creating a legacy for our daughter and other children to come.

Be thankful, recognize the blessings you have. We have so much to give thanks for.
