Some before & after of a 1965 beauty job we just completed.

A lot of new technology has been added to vehicles over the last several years. LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) is just one of those technological enhancements. LDWS is a camera (usually mounted to the windshield) as you see in the photos. These cameras look at lines on the road ways and other things to let the driver know if they are getting out of their lane. On some vehicles this system will also interact with the steering and braking to get the vehicle back in the lane. It is very important that the proper windshield is used for replacement so that the camera can be mounted in the proper position with the correct window for it to see out of the front of the vehicle. Here you can see the wrong windshield was used. The customer said that they were getting lights on the dash and it was giving them a check engine code for LDWS. The last picture is a picture of the new correct windshield we installed.
