Our Careers and Technical Education program trains high school students from the Southwest Metro area in Minnesota.
SWMetro CTE offers classes in various Career and Technical areas. Students learn both knowledge and skills related to that field. Students who find their career interest early and take our CTE classes can earn industry certificates, college credit, and valuable experiences to help them start that career. Students who find that they don't like a chosen career field will be happy they made that choi

Congratulations to the SWMetro team who took 1st place in the youth division BLS challenge at the International Rescue and Emergency Care Association conference held last month in Boise, Idaho. Marie Schultz and Kaitlyn Oberg, both 2018 graduates of Chanhassen High School competed as a two-person team in this three-person emergency care competition. In addition, Marie also tied for the Most Academic honor, tieing with another student on the EMT multiple-choice test.
